KAILIS MARINE The Kailis Marine facility offers a unique location, outstanding marine support services and superb facilities for all boat owners. As well as servicing our own fleet, the MG Kailis Group's Marine Services division is committed to providing a service to the general boating public and in particular the fishing and marine industries of Western Australia. Engineering MG Kailis Group has over 60 vessels operating throughout Australia, most of which are maintained by our Engineering facility based at 50 Mews Road, Fremantle. We cater for all areas of marine services including new vessel building, refurbishments and refits of trawlers, commercial vessels, ferries, pleasure vessels etc. The Engineering Division has been operating for over 30 years and offers a workforce with a wealth of long servicing experience in marine application eg. fitting, fabrication, hydraulics, refrigeration, sandblasting and painting, shipwright work, electrical, machining and design. Our history includes building over 100 trawlers, tuna vessels, barges etc and each year we handle approximately 70 vessel refits of both our internal vessels and customer vessels. We design most of our own equipment and also manufacture and supply most equipment (such as anchors, pearl shell cleaning machines, trawl boards etc) for the prawning, pearling and tuna industries. Our modern facilities in Fremantle, Western Australia are ideally set up for marine requirements. The private land backed wharves offer an excellent working area with security. MG Kailis Group acquired the business of the Fremantle Boatlifters in 1998. Also based in Mews Road, Fremantle this major boat lifting facility has retained its name and primary purpose of supplying a complete service to both the pleasure boat and commercial sector in the way of a “One Stop Shop”. Fremantle Boat Lifters works closely with the MG Kailis Group Engineering Division and is able to provide the following services:
Fremantle Boat Lifters can now provide a complete service package during your annual refit or provide assistance for smaller repairs. Vessel inspections can be arranged and a recommended work list can be provided prior to your annual survey. We are also distributors of Wattyl, International and Jotun marine paints, which are stocked on site.
